WAYCROSS, GA 

Saturday,  April 28th and May 26th at 10 AM – 12 PM. Okefenokee Swamp Park, 5700 Okefenokee Swamp Park Road, Waycross, Georgia. Join Okefenokee Swamp Park Cultural Interpreter, Leslie Ranew, in the Cypress Cove Annex for programs on the cultural history of the Okefenokee Swamp. Coastal Obituaries

James Anthony Coleman, 61, of Woodbine answered the call of our Heavenly Father and his spirit took flight to be present with the Lord early Thursday morning, April 5, 2018.
Born Dec. 27, 1956, to James Grover Coleman, who preceded him in death, and Doffie Lee Coleman. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and graduated from Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn.
He pursued a career in long-haul truck driving until his health failed. He was a deacon at Woodbine Tabernacle of Prayer Church where he served for many years under the leadership of his mother, Pastor Doffie Silvia.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving mother, Pastor Doffie Silvia of Woodbine; his wife, Glenda Wishop-Coleman of Jacksonville, Fla.; one son, Ja’Kai Gevon Coleman of Jacksonville; two stepdaughters, Chelsa Shjonique Alston and Tyshana Lashell Johnson, both of Jacksonville; two sisters, Daurel Richardson of St. Marys and Denise Washington of Bronx, N.Y.; two brothers, Eddie Glover Washington of Bronx and Lamont Jackson of Atlanta; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 14, at Woodbine United Methodist Church.
Sunset Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Eleanor Daniel (formerly Eleanor Lennon), died suddenly Monday evening, April 16, 2018, of natural causes.
Born in Bridgeport, Conn., on Aug. 14, 1925, she was raised in the Bronx, N.Y.
Survived by her sister, Ruth Lennon of Kingsland, Ga.; daughter, Martha Lennon Eckert (Jekyll Island, Ga.), son-in-law Tom, and grandchildren, Emily, Carly and Kathleen; daughter, Maureen Lennon John (Pasadena, Calif.), son-in-law Fred John, grandchildren Corey, Michael and Diana; son, James Charles Lennon (Cleveland, Texas), daughter-in-law Robin, and grandchildren Matthew and Caitlyn; son-in-law William O’Connor (Portola Valley, Calif.) and grandchildren Lauren and Ian; grandson, Blair Daniel (Boulder, Colo.) and his mother Kathy Daley.
She was predeceased by both husbands, Charlie and Dan; her beloved daughter, Lorraine Lennon O’Connor; and her parents, Freda and Frank Dicke.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Jekyll Island United Methodist Church.


GraceLynne Marie Kimbell, 17, of St. Marys, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018.
Born February 8, 2001 in Los Alamitos, California. A child of the Marine Corps, she lived many places including Daveport, IA and Jacksonville, NC, making many friends along the way. She had resided in Camden County since 2013 and was a Junior at Camden County High School.
She had a gift for art, literature, and music, especially the violin, piano and singing. She enjoyed outdoor sports and nature, always taking the time to simply sit and let it surround her. GraceLynne had a gentle heart, compassion for everyone she knew, and a tender loving way with animals. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Kingsland.
Survivors include her parents, Rose Marie and Laurens Kimbell of St. Marys; brother, Challen Kimbell of St. Marys; grandparents, Mary Kay and Lawrence Watson, Paul and Mary Ann Prichard, and Richard and Candace Kimbell; great grandmother, Mildred Marie Prichard; her Aunts Heather, Jenna, Abby, Jaymee, and Uncles Rick, Joey, Jacob, Jarred, Andrew, Jordan and cousins Chance, Jacob, Kirstin, Lilly, Taylyn and Lincoln, and especially her puppies, Isabelle and Cooper, and kitten, Mittens.
Graveside services in Bellbrook, Ohio.

Tommy McDonald, 79, of St. Marys, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida.
Born July 17, 1938 in Glennville, Ga. He had resided in Camden County most all of his life and was a member of Crooked River Baptist Church. He had been employed with Gilman Paper Company for 10 years and Carolina Freight Company. Tommy enjoyed fishing and especially camping.
Survivors include his loving wife, Laurie McDonald of St. Marys; four daughters, Jean Stanfield (Pete) of Kingsland, Shavonne Nobles (Wayne) of Jeffersonville, Kimberly Hill (Rich) of Duncansville, PA, and Kelly Walton of St. Augustine, FL; son, Jeremy Luke McDonald (Megan) of Newport, NC; three sisters, Mable Carter, Betty Myrick, and Ernestine Morgan; 18 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys with Pastor Donald Belcher, Sr. officiating.

Rev. Clarence Odell Sapp, 92, of Woodbine, formerly of Brunswick, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018, at Hospice of the Golden Isles.
Born Nov. 13, 1925, in Manassas, the son of the late Daniel and Margaret Sapp. He was a United States Army veteran, having served in World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. He pastored several Baptist churches in the area. He was devoted to his faith and family. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Blanche Sapp.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Sapp; his children, Sharon Sweet (Dave), Gail Asbell (Garey, deceased), Davey Sapp (Shirley), Sylvia Brockington Edenfield (Billy), Dr. Terry Howard (Ellis), Roger Sapp (Robbie) and Lori Turner (Gary); stepdaughter, Annette Thomas; 25 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 12, at the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons with Pastor Christopher Ogden, Dr. John Harris and Pastor Bobby Woods officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Palmetto Cemetery.

Dale Tyrone Way, 51, of St. Marys passed away Monday, April 16, 2018, at Southeast Georgia Health System, Glynn Campus.
Bro. Dale Tyrone Way accepted Christ at an early age and was joined to the Young Zion Missionary Baptist Church and later to the Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas Jefferson and Louise Mack and Nathaniel and Lessie Lee Way, and two brothers, Darrell Way and Tony LaVon Mack.
Survivors include his loving mother, Janice, and father, Thomas Mack Jr.; one sister, Wendy Schlefstein of Jacksonville, Fla.; one brother, Marlin D. Mack of Atlanta; four aunts, Corraine (Ollie) Marsh of Kingsland, Marvene (Harold) Coleman of South Carolina, Carrie Sykes and Irene Campbell of Kingsland; four uncles, Ervin (Shirley Ann) Way of Jacksonville, Fla., Nathan Way of Kingsland, Rev. Leon Mack of St. Marys and Nathaniel (Junetta) Mack of White Oak; a favorite cousin, Jennifer (Punkin) Way of Kingsland; a special mother, Elvie Washington; two special friends, Gerald Way and Eric (Rick) Washington; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 21, at Young Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

Calvin Herbert McCurdy, 98, of Woodbine passed away at his residence on Monday, April 16, 2018. Cremation services were provided by Golden Isles Cremation Center/ Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Arrangements may be made by family at a later date.
